The city central motel is a short walk into the city centre. We appreciated the service the staff provided as we rang the day of checking to inform them, we were coming on the tranzalpine train from Greymouth and would be checking in after reception closed. They were able to then provide us with the necessary codes to get our key to our room. Apartment was huge. Very spacious with a full kitchen and bath and shower. Had a washing machine which would be handy for travellers,

The room was clean comfortable and had everything that we needed, microwave, small fridge, tv with satalite channels and a small amount of items you can purchase in the mini bar . It was within walking distance to the city center, with a supermarket about 5 mins walk and subway right next door. There is building work being done opposite the motel apartments, but with the double glazing you can still have a relaxing afternoon nap

I liked the size of the room for the price it was, very warm with a very comfortable bed. The shower was lovely and warm. The room was very tidy. And I loved being able to wake up and watch cartoons on Sky that I used to watch when I was younger, I haven't done that since I was a kid. Overall, a very satisfactory stay. Will most definitely book again on my next trip.

We stayed in the two bedroom unit. Up stairs with no lift, so not accessible but had a spacious living area and good sized bedrooms. Separate toilet and bathroom. Decent small kitchen with a dishwasher and a washing machine. Very well laid out and comfortable. Sufficient parking at the motel. We walked into town easily - never took a taxi.
